As October 2011 began, I was serving you as judge of Harris County Civil Court at Law No. 1. I have served all of Harris County in this capacity for eleven years and loved every day.  With an excellent staff, we worked diligently to dispense justice fairly, equally and efficiently to the over 700 litigants that filed in this court every month. 

 

On October 3, County Judge Ed Emmett announced my appointment as Commissioner of Harris County Precinct # 4. On the following day, I was sworn into this position and immediately took my seat at the Commissioners Court table.

 

I now become a builder for the future as your new commissioner of Harris County Precinct 4. I am very grateful to County Judge Ed Emmett who chose me.  My fellow Republican Commissioners, Steve Radack and Jack Morman and their staffs have been gracious in welcoming me. I share my office suite with Commissioner El Franco Lee and I could not ask for a kinder and more welcoming neighbor. I have now crisscrossed Precinct 4's 3000 miles of roads, cutting grass, sweeping the streets, and receiving the keys to our 33 Precinct 4 parks. I have worked alongside many of the 300 plus excellent Precinct 4 employees who oversee the services your precinct # 4 provides and have participated in several sessions of Commissioner's Court. What a great privilege it has been to serve you as your new Commissioner!
